Mark Thomas: Manifesto
Phil McIntyre Entertainment
England
This year Mark's Edinburgh show has the audience coming up with policy
ideas to change the world for the better and at each show a policy is
voted on by the audience to form a manifesto.
Ideas range from
regional legal issues like abolishing 'breach of the peace' in
Scottish common law to the visionary and universal notion of forcing
the government to give everyone the day off work on their birthday !
After 13 shows Mark takes the manifesto to Scotland's politicians in a
public debate. A cross party group of MSPs has agreed to discuss the
policy ideas voted on by Mark's audience to see if there is a way to
make any of these policies become a reality.
